CASA’s “Rescue Raffle” is a charitable program to provide much-needed financial assistance for individuals in the alternative spirituality community who are fighting a life-threatening illness with no health insurance and little or no financial resources. All proceeds, minus the administrative expenses of the raffle itself, are donated to one designated beneficiary for each raffle. Only members of CASA may nominate someone for consideration as a beneficiary for the Rescue Raffle, but the beneficiaries do not have to be CASA members themselves.

The first beneficiary of the CASA Rescue Raffle is Ms. Danielle Moss. (Click for information on our first beneficiary)

Each month CASA plans to offer 3 to 5 prizes for the Rescue Raffle. All the prizes are contributed by generous people within the alternative spirituality community. The prizes for the Rescue Raffle are currently on display at Spirit Journey, 485 Front St. N, Suite C. in Issaquah. You’re welcome to come see them in person, or check out the details below to see pictures and descriptions of the prizes for the current raffle.   Information on how to purchase tickets or make donations to the beneficiary is below.

This CASA Rescue Raffle drawing is scheduled for Thursday, April 5^th, 2007, at 5:00 PM.

The current location for the drawings is Spirit Journey in Issaquah, although that may be subject to change for future drawings.   You do not need to be present to win.   Any tickets that we don't receive prior to the drawing date will be entered in the next drawing for more great prizes.

The dates for additional upcoming Rescue Raffle drawings are:

• Thursday, June 7^th, 2007
• Thursday, July 5^th, 2007

Entering the CASA Rescue Raffle costs $3.00 for each ticket^*.   Legal adults 21 years of age or older are eligible to purchase a ticket or to win a prize in the CASA Rescue Raffle.

How to purchase tickets:

	Online Now from our website by using Secure PayPal   (a PayPal account is not required) *To cover PayPal fees, a $.40 service charge for the first ticket and $.10 each additional applies for web or credit card payments. The more tickets purchased at one time, the less impact the service charge has.   (remember, all proceeds over administrative costs are donated to the beneficiary)

	Mail us a check to CASA, 1011 Boren Avenue, PMB# 828, Seattle, WA 98104 for the number of tickets you wish to buy and we will send them out to you.   Make checks payable to CASA and write Rescue Raffle on the subject line.  Be sure to indicate how many tickets you desire.  Alow enough time for the check to arrive before the drawing date.  Any not received in time will be rolled over to the next drawing.  ($3.00 each when paid via check)

If you do not want a Raffle Ticket but would still like to make a Donation to the beneficiary:

	Online Now from the CASA website by using Secure PayPal   (a PayPal account is not required) A PayPal service charge applies to purchases over the web or with a credit card, so The larger your donation, the less impact the service charge has. A minimum of at least $5.00 is suggested

CASA is a 501(c)(3) charity registered with the IRS and the State of Washington. All donations of funds, goods, or professional services are tax-deductible. CASA qualifies for matching grants from those companies that have a payroll deduction program for charitable giving by their employees.

If you would like to make a donation of a raffle prize, or if you have a business location or venue to sell Rescue Raffle tickets, or if you would like to make a direct financial donation to support our Rescue Raffle beneficiary, please call us at 206-817-1162 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Monday through Friday.
