Our Plan |

To achieve our goal will require a lot of hard work and effort by a lot of people, and CASA has developed a plan to divide this work into three distinct phases. Phase 1 Beginning with our launch in late 2003, we will begin our outreach program to assess community needs, to engage the community in the project and to begin our capital fundraising campaign. We expect this phase to last approximately one year. Phase 2 Opening the CASA office. This will be an interim facility with the objective of providing an office for the CASA staff and for Sponsoring Organizations to use as part of our program. We hope to have space for small meetings, workshops and perhaps establish a drop-in center for the community. Ideally, we will also establish the CASA library at this time. We expect this phase to last two to three years, during which time our capital fundraising campaign will continue. Phase 3 Opening the CASA Community Center. Our goal is to open a facility in or near the Seattle urban core, with access to major bus lines and plenty of available parking. While the exact nature of the facility will have to be determined by the CASA membership and the community at large, we hope to be able to provide space for rituals and worship services, large meetings, social events, classes, a clinic for alternative health care providers, and to continue to provide office space for Sponsoring Organizations. |
